Popularized by the Simpsons season 10 episode, "They Saved Lisas Brain" and implemented by French Revolutionaries from 1793 to 1795, metric time consists of 10 hours per day and 100 minutes per hour. Mid-day is 5:00 and midnight is 10:00, easier than imperial numbers for orienting your day-to-day activities. With the clocks simple and direct display, you can show your friends a different way to tell time, or set up a display on your desk, with your iPhone or iPad.
Metric minutes are a little bit longer than imperial minutes, so be patient when watching the time progress.
Because there are 100 minutes in an hour, the time 4:85 is equivalent to 4.85 (decimal); click on the time to convert between colon or a period in the time display.
Click the paint brush button to change the colors of the interface. Also, switch back and forth between local metric time and Universal metric time with the globe button.
